I'm having issues with the "LS7" lifters that everyone loves.
they apparently "flow more oil to the top end".
And for me, it flooded my cylinder heads, and caused lower than expected oil pressures.'. :secret:
I have not had that issue with the LS7 lifter and I've cammed several LS motors. What oil pump are you using?

Exactly. I think there's some rule that applies here, similar to Murphy's law.:D

I think my issues are more from the double "PAC" springs that I'm running.
I found the issue noted in the corvette forum, the normal LS7 lifter can't quite hold up to the pressure.

I'll also note that the Morell lifter that I'm planning to switch to is identical to the non dod lifters that my tahoe originally had.

On a good news front - my repaired crankshaft is on the way back to and should arrive tomorrow,. Unfortunately, my wife and I received some bad news on Tuesday. A CT scan of our 14 year old Beagle (my little buddy) indicates he has cancer. Heading off to an oncologist next week to determine type, if its treatable or the alternative I'm not ready for yet.

Oh man so sorry about your buddy. I went through cancer treatment on my last dog, an Alaskan Husky. It’s so difficult. May you have strength Bob. Our furry friends are like family.

Received an update from Fedex - my crankshaft will be delivered tomorrow. It arrived in my shipping area this afternoon - to late for delivery today.

On a separate note, I'm also working on my son-in-law's 2009 Honda fit (what a tiny little truck - yes in Maryland it is considered a light duty truck - Ha Ha). He has some damage to his passenger side Headlight assembly and bumper cover. We ordered a new bumper cover and it arrived today. Get this - they folded it in half to fit in the shipping box. It's not useable - I guess I could try to reshape it with a heat gun but I shouldn't have to. It's getting sent back.

That's how it's done, at least last time I checked on one for a friend. There should be instructions on leaving it in a warm place, in the sun, etc., to straighten it out. Never bought one, but they're supposedly "shape-memory" plastic.
