My new X is linking with my head unit.
I can place calls, listen to music, receive calls.
However when I receive a text message my head unit no longer receives the message. Everything appears to be set up correctly.
Is this just another iPhone conflict?

I have no issues getting text messages on the truck with my iPhone X.
I wonder what the deal is with mine then?
I have it set up in the Denali as I did with my Galaxy.
I also have Do Not Disturb while driving set to manual.
???

Under your BT menu on your phone, check to see if "notifications" are enabled.

Yeah, why it even has that menu option AND why it's there, under BT, is beyond me...

I imagine that option exists for other bluetooth devices like headphones. For example: if you're working out, you may not want to be getting texts, emails and other notifications during your workout.

Is there a reason as to why I don’t even have the option to turn on notifications when I click on the i on my phone to show texts?
