I'm curious... where is the filter in this setup and what does it look like???

I looked at Moroso's website and didn't see where it said not recommended for street use.

I was looking at Jegs site originally, that's where I saw the warning. Probably Jegs just covering their butt.

Not me. I do know that the 2500s, 6.2s and those 5.3s and 6.0s with K5L have 700 watt fan motors though. Those without K5L have 500 watt motors.

Your tuner can have them kick onto high more often. If I remember right, yours should have K5L with the larger motors.

Yes it is K5L, will talk to BBP about that

My 09 L9H Tahoe surprisingly didn't have the K5L option, even though it has the external trans, oil, and power steering coolers. I did upgrade my efans, I swapped my efans for the ones that come with the 2012 K5L package. Now, When my fans are on hi, I swear it will suck my shirt off when I'm standing in front of it.

Since I got my BBP tune, they come on low speed sooner than stock, and in summer they run on high speed more often, which is good IMO, keeps the A/C and engine temps lower that way.

whats up with the hole/tube in the bottom - is that to fill it? i think some 6l80 cars dont have a fill tube

No... your cooler has to be on a pressurized line... the pan isn't under pressure. If you hooked your cooler to the pan there would be no pressure and therefore no flow of fluid through the cooler.

I am looking forward to the pan install on fitment , I have been looking for something like this . I don't need the extra 3 quarts like most other brands.
