So the 3rd row seats I bought via Ebay arrived today. Now I'm just waiting for the bolts/brackets order to arrive so I can install them and seats.

This may be a dumb question, but how can I unfold the seat backs to upright position?
I want to wipe them down with leather cleaner/protectant before I install them, but I cannot figure out to unfold them as how they are displayed upright by the seller in the sale pictures (sample pic). I tried all the levers and it remains lock folded.

I've never operated these types of seats before and wondering if I am missing something.
The last 3rd row seat I knew how to use was in my family's former 1989 and 1998 GMC suburbans which was one whole seat.
Seats are most likely vinyl, not leather.

You may need to find a way to simulate the seat being latched into the vehicle before you can unfold it.

Here is a video showing some basics of the seats.

Ok. Yeah. I just talked to some Chevy rep at the mall and he mentioned something similar in that the are 2 latches and a lever and you need a 2nd person to hold the latches tight like it's snapped in place while you move the lever and that will allow you to unfold the seat back.
Thanks for info.

After installing those third row seats, you will now have 3 different types of seats. Cloth, Vinyl, and Leather.

I would go to a wrecking yard and buy the following:

Front “leather” seats, center console, A-pillars, dome light/home link cover, floor carpet (with padding), and anything else you can find thats broken on your PPV.

Not saying this is for everyone, but my PPV looks like a normal civilian version, but with the cool performance of a PPV.

Actually it's cloth, vinyl, and vinyl. The 3rd row seats are vinyl, but people (even me) mistakenly call them leather.

Got a center bench seat already and the vehicle came with a police spec dome light that has 2 settings: red or bright light. Don;t really need floor carpeting so I already got an OEM carpet floor mat for the 2nd row. Just need to get carpet floor mats for the front. Haven't yet found anything else that's broke besides the typical small cracks in the dash, which I'm going to get a dash cover, but other than that will see if I find anything else.

Nice civilian conversion. Definitely looks badass. Look forward to finishing this project.

Today, I got the horn working. :happy107: Thank you to you guys for the advice and the pics. They really helped. Got the wiring from under the radio, found the cut light brown wires, spliced them back together and HONK! It works! :D

Also got the OEM carpet floor mat for the 2nd row seats and it fits just right.

My work has finally calmed down so now I have more time to work on and get the next things done on my to-do list.

1. Steering wheel (w/radio controls) swap
2. 3rd row bracket/bolts install and seats
3. Center bench seat install.
4. Get tire installed on the spare PPV rim. Rotate/balance all 4 tires.

Oh yeah. Very much appreciated. Thank you! :D
Check my thread I've got some pictures of the third row install... and if your steering wheel isn't bad you can install the radio switches and the harness for around $60... but if you can find a decent used wheel for under $100 its quick and easy... just be careful with the little clips on the air bag plugs... real careful...

Ok. Cool. Thank you! I will definitely check your thread on the 3rd row install. Did a preliminary check of the 3rd row seat area under the rubber mat and insulation and it looks pretty straight forward.

As for the steering wheel, I did get a used one in good condition off Ebay for $119 (+tax and free shipping). Donor vehicle was a 2013 Tahoe. Watched a how-to video on You Tube and they did mention to be careful with the airbag clips so I got some special tools like what the guy used on the video. Now I'm ready to do the swap. :D

Yeah 3rd row isn't bad... hardest part is figuring out where to cut out the rubber and insulation so the seat will latch...
