Slowly getting the garage organized.

My new workbench.

The original plan was to rip out that shelf crap behind it.
But as reviewed the crap that got piled up there over the years, I opted to just place it here for now.
Sheds are planned for this summer (if finances allow), I can clean up my mess afterwards. :jester:

There has been a wood bench in this location, so it's now sitting in the front yard.
My OCD neighbor I'm sure loves it. :)

And i got a delivery today.
Seals, bolts, and the -8an fittings.

Always amazes me how fast -an fittings add up $$
not in the image is a box of braided transmission cooler line and the transmission -8an adapter plate.

I'm also pushing the engine oil cooler order back a little, i plan on doing the same -8an deal.
but the cooler adapter seems to be about $100 - $200
Other options are cheaper, that is if i can mount the lines straight out.

Pending a decision after i have everything apart again.

Hopefully i'll have some -an fittings left over. :jester:

taking inventory, and it looks like i forgot that i still needed to make a decision for the style of -An host to hard fittings i needed.
So, i don't have enough for the project.
Whoops!

My new radiator should be here tomorrow.
But I'm still waiting on a tracking number for the new crankshaft.

You're doing -8 on the trans lines, yeah? Are you replacing the 3/8" fittings in the rad's trans cooler with -8 (1/2") as well?

I have this on order

And i have the fitting that should adapt to -8an directly.
Should be this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fra-491949bl
and this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/vpe-16628

but i won't know for sure until i have the radiator in hand.

Ah. I'm tracking now. I thought you were using adapters to fit 1/2" lines to a 3/8" hole, which would be pointless.

Having fun with the fittings... :jester:

These earls 90 degree fittings have little holes in the packaging.
those holes allow dust in.
I think these fittings have been on the shelf for a long time.

This is after i cleaned them...
nice hard film inside of some of them...

Got the radiator today, those were the fittings :head3:

the passageways in the radiator for the fittings are surprisingly small.
I could open them up just a tad easy enough, but do i dare...

So i might end up with a "Y" in the line for flow.
Plumb them in Parallel...

reached out to the seller of my new crank today hoping for a status.
Seems the put the crankshaft on some special backorder list.
I have to submit reason and vin before they will even consider me.

I blame Cleetus. :yuno:
