While at the car wash, I ran across this glitch in the matrix:
What would make the drivers side mirror not fold, while the passenger side did fold when the button was initially pressed.
However, when attempting extend the mirrors back, and to make matters even more confusing; while attempting to return the mirrors back to their fully extended position, this time only the driver’s side returns…the passenger side mirror doesn’t move.
Prior to the bath and findings…I also gave Alpha:
-an oil change (6 quarts Mobil 1 w/ M1-212A oil filter)
*oil was probably 2-3k miles over the mileage range I normally change it. Felt and smelled more like a “once a year or once every 7-10k miles” vs “every 3 months or 3k miles”.
I’ve never seen mud come out of an oil filter that looks like that. I left some oil oil in it. Not sure if I should have it tested, or wait until a quality oil and filter have been used. The plugs and wires all need to be replaced, along with ALL of the wire loom.
-deep cleaned the underside (aka triple cans of the big ole rattle cans of brake clean to blast off the engine oil, ATF, misc dirt and grease and oily yuck)
-New front wiper blades,
-new 160 amp alternator
-found the air filter boxes faster holes are broken, so it doesn’t seal properly
-cleaned the throttle body (it was nasty!)
-topped off all fluids, tires but not the fuel tank. Why? Well….because of your No! Not the charcoal canister and vent valve.
