You're right, they can't be too short, the stud sticks out a little.. Thanks for the links!
I do have a regular 3/8" socket, but I don't wanna beat on those if possible. I'll probably get a 1/2" set..

I think everyone has convinced me I need an impact for removing wheels too! Would be nice to have one again..
Don't need to pre-loosen lugnuts before jacking up vehicle.. can undo spinny things without clamping them down.. I'm sold!


as the other guys said, I don't feel right if I'm on a road trip without a impact these days.

half inch is always nice if it fits, they tend to transfer more tq without any adapters or extensions but if only a 3/8 will fit, as long as it's a impact rated 3/8s I've given them the beans and other stuff breaks before the sockets.

I haven't had my trucks exhaust off the manifolds, but it looks petty similar to other gm's where you might have a hard time getting a thicker 1/2in drive socket on it.

Except my yard tools, they're 80v brushless.

Convertible trimmer, leaf blower, and 18" chainsaw all 80v. I have an 8" tree trimmer attachment and hedge trimmer attachment for the trimmer also.
I Have several of the Ridgid tools, including the 12” chainsaw. That little saw is downright handy doing miscellaneous things around the property, and while camping. It came with a 6Ah battery.

Looking at getting these so that I don't have to deal with stock manifolds breaking exhaust bolts ever again
Is the ceramic coating just for looks, or is it a legit heat-trapper?

Edit: I just emailed them to see if there was a difference between their titanium ceramic vs. silver polished ceramic.

I may have to get a set for my Denali with the big engine.
Would be sweet since I don't have to worry about smog.
If I didn't have to worry about smog I 100% would have long tubes on this thing years ago.

But these apparently are "carb legal"
Most of the carb legal headers I've found are all 1-5/8 primaries, these are supposed to be 1-3/4.

To my knowledge the ceramic coating on headers is for heat control.

I'm pretty sure the only difference between the two ceramic coatings is the look, so if you want shiny parts on your engine, get the polished one.

Curious to see what they email you back though.

I have BBK ceramic coated longtubes on my mustang. Got them almost 20 years ago and they still look like new, but it's not daily driven and doesn't see foul weather
Can you speak to under-hood temps?

The price on these seem decent comparted to buying some other shorties & sending them out to be coated.

Same.

We don't have CARB or CAFE or whatever in NH, but we do have an annual Safety & Emissions inspection. If I had the $$$ I'd get LTs with cats. because I care a little bit about the environment. But those are like $2500+ after you get them coated, because road-salt. That's a lot for this guy.

Definitely cooler. The ceramic coating helps keep heat inside the header. Some headers also have ceramic coating on the inside and those work best for heat retention but are also the most expensive.

Same, I like the sound of a catted exhaust personally, and the high flow cats are so much smaller, easier to package.

Good to know, I don't like shiny parts though lol, but I like best bang for the buck performance...tough decision


EDIT: their website says out of stock temporarily, but summit racing says they have nine sets, and listed 50 bucks cheaper than BBK

I feel the upside of cats is the lack of smell. I got so sick of smelling like exhaust fumes walking into restaurants, I put the stock ones back on my motorcycle lol


have kinda left them on everything since, as long as I can get them to flow decent, I'm OK losing 4hp haha
