if I were to keep driving it until the cel comes on then it could probably be warranted but I can't find my receipt anyway so I don't even know if it would have been covered either way. I think they only give a 2 or 3 years warranty on these at the most.
not going to pay twice as much or more for a new y pipe

so I had the thought, if you have hptuners, could you turn on the fault code for that rear o2? I am pretty sure you can fail stuff. like you fail the maf sensor and have to disable the fault code to tune the map table. maybe you can fail the o2 and leave the code enabled so they can see it on their scanner. save to 850$ and it's actually broken. so it's not like you're getting over on them.

made some dashboard band-aids..
View attachment 399168
these went underneath of course (removed cluster and glovebox/airbag.. )

how long will it last? I didn't really prep the surface other than an alchohol wipe..

would change the dash, but after investing that kind of money i would want to fiberglass the bottom and vinyl wrap the top.

if the bandaids break, i see a dashcap in my future.. I know some of you hate them, but i dont like fuzzy things on the dash...

when I got mine is was cracked.. started checking it out and seems the center speaker has no support. it's just hanging off the plastic that gets hard and brittle. I made a quick support for it, popped the cracks back together so they didn't look so bad. it's not gotten any worse so far and looks good enough not to bother me everytime I drive it.

the thin plate near the base of the windshield just pops up with clips. a few are going to break off, but mix up some plastic weld for them and it pops right in after making a center support.

after seeing it, I'm convinced if gm would have supported that speaker the broken dash wouldn't be nearly as bad is it is. the plastic is crap, but all gm dash plastic is kinda crap and they don't break

Regarding the plastic, I'm amazed I didn't break the trim pieces! BIG Thank You to Tom who did the dash removal instructions on this site!

Yep I noticed middle was weak too. What did you use to prop it up? When epoxying my dash back, I couldn't get the parts to lineup without weighing down the right side of the airbag crack and pushing up center part. Same with cluster crack. If I only pushed center up, the crack opened up. Terribly flimsy dash.. Here's some pics of it now..

actually epoxied right side in two stages, just a little jbweld showing inside crack, but its pretty much perfectly level, driver side theres a ledge in the middle third..

wont pass with an o2 fault code! wont pass with a change in tune.. I wish they went with tailpipe testing only.

Well brakes are done but took a lot longer than it should have,, pad clips were no good and the bracket slider boots were bad and nobody had just the brackets in stock and I wasn't going to do it twice nor leave it all apart on the street so I ended up buying 2 new complete calipers for the brackets only so they ended up costing me $76 instead of $40 if I had ordered them.
