2021 Leveling/Larger tires

wheel diameter CAN affect the outcome...the 22" offers a shorter stiffer sidewall thus not allowing as much flex and roll.

an 18" with that tire diameter could have some rub issues from tire flex.

Meh, when it comes to overall tire size and fitment from fenders etc., I wouldnt think the wheel diameter would play much of a role.

fitment, not so much...that will be overall size.

the wheel diameter can have an effect on rubbing issues if tolerances are close. i wi;; post a pic of the upper a arm of a 17 bubr with a 22 ' wheel and 285 tire...if this were an 18" with the same you can see how addition flex may contact the arm itself.

leading edge of pic is tire sidewall...if it were a smaller wheel, the buble of the tire would be slightly closer to the arm ( bottom left in pic) and could flex more causing some rub

Leveled today. For those looking to level, I installed a Motofab 1” strut extension. Anything more than 1” on these new Tahoe’s (at least the Z71) will put the front end higher than the back. This is within 1/8” of level per the dealership measurement. Have noticed no change in ride with the lower strut extension.

You mentioned Motofab but when I go to their site they don't have a 1" extension for the 2021. Did you and can you use a different year/model etc? Also, did you have to run a spacer to clear the caliper? I ordered the Escalade reps (FR72 Factory Reproductions) and I'm worried I may need a quarter inch spacer since another guy who's running the same wheels on an RST had to.

I have noticed a very very slight rub now on fender well in reverse with wheel cut all the way. Nothing to be concerned with at all IMO.

Below is the link to the 1" level. I actually collaborated with an engineer over there before installing it. At the time there was nobody "listing" a 1" for the 2021. Dealer installed for me and said no issue with fit and function. Fit like it was on a 2020. I do not have Air suspension.

Don't disagree when you are speaking to potential control arm rubbing. My initial comments were related to "fender" rubbing.

Looks great, and thanks for sharing all the info. Have you tried towing anything heavy; if so, any rubbing or heavy sag?

this might be a stupid question...but I'm waiting on my Tahoe to deliver and I like your tint setup...did you basically just have them match up the front to the back? or i guess what's your % on the front/rear windows?

Yes I just told them to match it I believe it was 20%.

i really like the new Z71...but i really think GM missed with the badges.

i prefer my 2011, with the small C pillar emblem, which i also added to the lift gate.

i think i would prefer the newer ones to similar or relocate the large fender emblem to the door in place of TAHOE

I've noticed one of the dealers in my area never puts running boards on their z71's, so now I see plenty around town without them. I know plenty of people remove them out of choice, but I fear some dealers simply aren't installing them upon arrival (probably to sell as an upcharge!).

But: awesome Z71. I've been scouring the web for more pics on KO2's. Is that the factory size?

I don’t have airride and I don’t think these can be used with the air ride I would check in with somebody that has airride that has done the same thing
