I don’t know, can you?

Just thought I recall reading of it being done. Gonna have to ask a tuner. If so, you could get a cam designed to help the torque of the 4.8 and have just the idle tuned for lope but have it correct immediately just off idle. Just taking stabs, though.

I know it can be done easily on the VVT engines. It was how the Coyotes were given a lope before they even had cams available- the "Ghost Cam" tune.

I spent an hour this morning finishing up the HVAC escutcheon. It was a lot of tedious work to properly ****** out this thing. The small bits of chrome are now properly stripped and painted. 2-3 weeks in muriatic acid , painted and reassembled with the buttons. If you look closely at the last pic, that’s the chrome that had been scruffed and painted, you can see it had already started to chip and tiny tiny spots of chrome were already starting to show. No more. Just like I did with the door handles, the chrome needed to be stripped.

I'm sure you are probably done stripping chrome from plastic at this point but I was going to mention that there is a guy on another forum that I am a member of that used LYE very successfully to strip pretty heavy chrome plating from plastic.

Not sure if it is any faster than muriatic acid but thought I would mention it in case you wanted to try it.

I will keep that in mind for the future. Another dangerous chemical for me to play with. Thanks! :)
