Hi!
So I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. I bought this vehicle from my parents and they have always had problems with the lift gate not opening with the automatic button by the interior lights. You could always open it manual using the back latch on the rear of the vehicle. One day the acuator quite working and was locking and unlocking and my dash alert was going off saying my lift gate was open when it wasn't. So off to google I went. I replaced the acuator and the button inside actually worked..for about a week and then the samething started to happen. So my questions does anyone know here I can find a wire diagram for my Tahoe and do we think it might be a wiring issue and if it is do I start in the interior or do I start at the back wires and work my way up? Any information would be super helpful. I disconnected the lift gate so it wasn't constantly going off and draining my battery. I can hook it back up and maybe send a video of the noise it's making. All fuses are fine and I disconnected the battery to try to reset the new acuator when I replaced it!
Thank you!

Moved you here from the 2000-2006 section.

Wiring diagrams and diagnostic paths at www.charm.li. I suggest you get familiar with the layout there, lots of great info. If you're not too motivated to pick around, here's the liftgate diagram:

You may want to reconnect the actuator and use a good scanner to see if there are any body diagnostic trouble codes.
