Ok so this is probably a waste of time, but every since I dropped my front license plate down, I haven’t liked the way it looks from the side. I like it from the front better, but from the side it looks like what it is. A license plate hanging on the bottom bracket. So today I mocked up a quick cover to see if I liked it better closed in. Here is the before and after of the peace I am using for test fit.

I like it enough better I think I will proceed with the project.

So I was playing around with HP Tuners today and realized the ECU was still pulling Spark and Fuel for traction control... Shut all that crap off and added 5 degrees of timing from 2,600-6,200 RPM. Should make A LOT more power now. Will update with another donut video perhaps lol

Drove her to the parts store to get a inner tie rod tool so I can freshen up the daily. 300k and parts start to wear I guess.

Out of stock? Not worth waiting for?

Probably worth waiting for but my brakes are shot and I need to replace them. Back order was until at least April. Wasn't wild about the idea but I'll get a $50 credit and still get new rotors. In the end, I feel ok about it.

The front ball joints are not a bad job. The upper and lower ball joints, replace the entire upper and lower A arm. Get MOOG. The uppers are about 80 each on rockauto.com.

The radiator you should also be able to tackle your self.

How bad is the oil pan? If it's seeping, let it be.

Front hub for me was about 450 at the dealership.

Master cylinder you could prob do, but you can't bleed the system without being able to override the abs module, from my research.

Front axle seals- chevy quoted me $500. Mine were barley wet, so you may want to check what they mean by "shot".

X2 on Moog but check amazon. I got both uppers for $90 for the pair. Moog lowers are also found on there for about $26 but I got one on a warehouse deal for $6.

The entire arm, or just the ball joint?

Entire arm on the uppers. Bought amazon warehouse deal on both and got each for $45-50, so I guess it was $90-ish. The lowers were just the ball joint.

I'm beginning a steady refresh/upgrade of the suspension. Lots of stuff is worn out at 170k.

Kept getting TPS faults on colder mornings, sometimes the truck would misfire pretty bad. Found a TSB for the TPS, thankfully now you can replace it without the whole TB. Happened to me 5-6 times, would go into limp-home if I was driving.

Grabbed a new TPS from Rock Auto for like $35, threw it on in about 20 minutes. No issues so far.

Took the time to clean the TB up a little bit. Also, for the first time in probably 15 years, I lost a 10mm. Still bitter since it was a Matco socket.....

Hey, i know someone that needs the #’s off that wiring harness in console @Ron C

Hi Pete, I have the same wiring harness in my console. I would need the one from the console that goes to the radio (if it exists). I assume it is going to the radio, don't see where else it would go.

But thank you!! I appreciate you helping out!!

Hello all, I am in the midst of converting to all LED on the front of my Yukon, and I have a question about wiring. Has anyone here done a YUKON wiring in the load resistors? I'm not good with electrical testing, and I'm trying to figure out which 2 wires in my front blinkers to connect to. In the picture, you see that the blinker light has 3 incoming: 1 brown, 1 black, one green. And, it has 2 outgoing (2 the park lights), 1 brown 1 black. I want to say, via process of elimination (I don't think the park lights blink when the signal is on), that it is the black (ground) and the green (hot). But I don't know, and don't want to damage the wrong wire. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I did mine and I want to say it was the brown and black. What I did was tap the wires, test the blinker, tap different wires, test the blinker. Sorry I can't be more help.

Dropped in my full center console today. Now I have to get rid of the jump seat I no longer need.

my weekend project has arrived, I am upgrading my E fans to the HD cooling, picked up a used assembly off ebay for 199.00 with 200k on the clock and 2 new 700w motors from rock auto for $60&$40 so total cost $300, I don't trust those after market fans too many failure reports. dealer says the relays are the same so should be good to go......

What makes them HD?

I am guessing more blades than SD but I have never really paid attention to how many blades mine have.
