Ran into a few more problems with the whipple install. whats new.

edit.. went to the junkyard today to get the right engine bracket for the AC compressor without a smog pump spot. Found some Hella 550 comet lights that fit into my toolbox and didnt cost a dime.. Retail lights on those new at over 200 bucks, and they work. haha. I hate junkyards..

Tool box Find FTW!!! did you end up with the bracket?

letting everything dry out a bit outside and then throwing the rest of the small parts on it. have to go get some hose clamps, dex, and a few other little things. then fingers crossed it starts and runs!!!

De greased engine bay. Removed a bunch of parts: starter, fan, water pump, egr, intake/throttle body, intake manifold. Cleaned up the throttle body and egr. waiting on money to do the spider.

Did my second major cleaning of the year. Tried out the A&H Magic eraser on the interior and I gotta say they are official. With little effort they clean great. I'm gonna try and buff the roof out before this weekends over, more time than money once again...

replaced all four shocks, turns out i still had the original bilsteins in with 152k miles, only had to chisel out 1 of the rear upper shock bolts cause the captured nut broke off and was spinning. replaced the hvac resistor and no luck with the fan situation, still blowing weird??

unknown at this time.
The top part where the sunglasses and cd holder are? There is that front spot and when I flipped it open nothing was there.

Under dash left side near parking brake. Biggest part on it. Pull slightly the side clip as you pull the unit out.

She's back together and running, still need to change the oil if the wind ever dies down (changing oil on a lifted truck in the wind SUCKS)

still have a little bit of a rough idle so the spider wasn't the only culprit.:emotions122: so the search continues!

that doesnt found fun. Its kind of cold here already, stupid winter seasons around the bend.

Tried playing with the whipple today and need to get more parts before i can really bolt her on. This kit uses a lot of parts from different cars. Corvette radiator hose, corvette water neck, corvette fuel pump, etc etc.

drove it for the first time since its all back together and can say it made a difference. hoping the computer will pull its head out of its ass and relearn without the rough idle. have already checked all the normal junk that would cause it...

cleaned battery post and cable. battery light came on this morning and meter showed 10 volts. i thought the worst but it was only corrosion. cleaned and now 14.14 volts charging.
ever since i had it it never got above 13.7. my radar detector is also a volt meter.

I got to install some 6.5" Hertz Energy components in the doors :) I also changed the oil and I put a quart of the Lucas oil additive shit in with it this time. Have any of you used it? It looks awesome
