Well FML.

Let me tell you doing valve springs in the truck is not fun........make sure you have the right tool. The tool I was using worked great for the first 6 valve spring on bank 1 and 2 is fine........but cylinders 7 and 8......no chance in hell.

I ordered the other toll via Amazon and will be able to finish tomorrow.

Oh, and the tool I used only worked after I milled it so there was proper clearance to install the valve spring retainer keepers. I'll port up some pics in a bit.

Either way, experience, a level head and knowing when to tap out is the key to success. Plus having the valve spring pop out of the tool twice was enough for me to call it a day. Safety first.
What tool were you using, wasn’t one of those stamped steel ones was it? Here’s the one I used to install dual springs with. They’re harder than beehive because there’s less room to spare around the valve stem. I had to start with the spring offcenter as far as i could, and as it compressed it would end up in the center. This one was from LSX. 7 & 8 are just uncomfortable as hell. Are you using the trick of using a dab of grease on each keeper as you install it, it holds them in place around the stem as you release the tool.

I took the Yukon in and had the air bag recall service performed. I figured I better get it done before I hit anything... :)

That is all.

My 2011 didn't have any cracks in the dash. My 2012 just has the fine one in the upper left corner of the airbag

poor doggy, we had a rather large Siamese tom cat that like to get up in the engine compartment and sleep one morning my dad went out and started the jeep and fur flew out from under the hood everywhere, cat took off like a bat out of hell and ran off, he finally came back about 3 days later and one whole leg was shaved off down to the muscles, he survived but dam animals.

My neighbor's cat did that FOUR TIMES. I had to go put the belt back on their Explorer three times.

lol, my cat was crazy he used to catch rabbits, birds, snakes, lizards, loved to eat bugs. you could pet him and he would be all luvy and purring and then turn around and bite you right in the nose hard enough to break the skin. I was surprised he never came back with porcupines stuck in his face like the dogs, I was fortunate as a kid we had chipmunks, parrots, turtles, a monkey, goats, horses, fish, great danes, husky's, samoids, ducks, chickens, geese, rabbits, a myna bird (talking bird).

I need to buy a lottery ticket. I removed my appliques to color match them, and noticed this:

I've had the spoiler off a few times to deal with the rubber flap coming loose. I guess I didn't tighten this nut all the way:

What are the odds that it would hang right there perfectly balanced, vs. dropping through the taillight area onto the ground? It looks like I staged it, lol.
