they're going to change the drain plug too so it does not risk leaking

Brent, they're always going to use new fluid. The only people I've known to re-use fluids were bush mechanics, literally repairing vehicles in the field to get them going again.

Wow is that what these millennials are doing these days is reusing old transmission fluid?!

Putting the old fluid back in the transmission kind of defeats the purpose of changing the fluid out doesn’t it?!?!

Like others have said why is this even a question?!

my intention was not to change the fluid but only the AUX pump it's costing me 80$ for the fluid...

I’m not transmission expert BUT….. if you’re changing the pump out, again why would you put old fluid back in?! That’s like taking a shower and putting you’re soiled underwear on after showering….

I would assume he’s had the dealer do that…. But you know what ASSUMING does!! Lol

pan is not coming off i'll have to save a bit of money for that one

I understand money might be tight. It's tight for a lot of us...
But the cost of another repair or new transmission is a lot more than the cost of the fluid and filter.
