I installed the BCM tune. It worked. RAP works like normal again so I don’t need to manually turn off the stereo every time I turn off the truck. Also, the steering wheel controls had stopped working in the last couple of weeks and they’re working again. I’m not sure if it was the BCM programming or the fact I pulled the radio fuse to flash the BCM and the Maestro got reset but either way it’s a win-win. It was a real PIA to not have those controls.

I got my recall notice for the passenger airbag today so I scheduled an appointment at the dealer a little more than a week away. It wasn’t too bad to get in line. Luckily my dash is new so I won’t worry about any extra cracking happening. Anybody else get their notices for the NNBS ?

I got a notice but it said that I should be on the lookout for another notice later due to parts shortages.

I haven't received a notice yet but called the dealer I bought the truck from and they said they don't have a remedy yet (no parts).

I may try calling the other dealer that is closer to me and see what they say.

The recall website says "incomplete" for my recall when I put in my VIN, which according to their site means there are parts available.

The notice I got said no parts were available by anyone. So I just stuffed it in a drawer to be forgotten lol

Yeah I think I got one of those back some time ago and I threw it away. If there’s no parts I don’t see the point in telling me there’s a recall. I was surprised I got this one and even more surprised they had the airbag in inventory when the lady checked today. First she set the appointment and then said “ please hold on a minute while I check stock to make sure we have the part”. I was expecting her to say sorry, call back in a few weeks.

Got the airbag replaced today, pretty painless. They even called a Lyft for me to take me home, and bring me back 2 1/2 hours later. They also showed a recall on the emissions system and said they would reprogram the ECM so I said go ahead, knowing I’d have to reflash the tune back. I didn’t want any open recalls showing up. Now I’ll have to pull the Autocal out. And no dash damage, or anything else damaged. Glad to get that over with.

I installed the 91+ octane tune and did an initial polish in the billets after winter did it’s thing. Didn’t get too carried away since it’s supposed to rain for the next 4-5 days.

I was checking out this ‘22 Z71 with the Cummins at the dealership, not bad.

And I just received some Griots Speed Shine, something I can use to get dust off without washing the whole truck. Ahhh Spring
