Rear trailing arm relocation necessary?

Would those of you with lowered trucks say the rear trailing arm relocation brackets are necessary? Is there a drop threshold where they would be recommended and where they would not? I see a lot of mention of DJM's endlinks but not so much the trailing arm hardware.

Opinions will vary. I am running 5" drop without them.

i don’t think they’ll hurt on 4-5” but definitely needed 6” or more

It certainly won't hurt anything to have them. Even with my air ride I can lift to stock height and nothing rubs.

What drop are you running?

The other thing the trailing arm relocation brackets do is help to keep your driveshaft from bottoming out in the transmission. But that would be for more extreme drops.

I'll be 2/4 at first. If 4" looks too low I'll block the spring to 3". Free travel mod is done, DJM endlinks on the way.

I did mean in regards to the 2" in the front though. On some trucks 2/4 looks perfect and level, some look too low like its saggin' ass... Ehh, we'll see.

I didn’t really find any difference in how mine drove with them and 4” springs other than it reduced the rubbing on the fender liner.
