Spent most of the day through late this morning with our daughter and granddaughters. We will see them and the rest of our family during Thanksgiving. Looking forward to it. I'm still working on the teardown and install. Been in the cleaning and painting mode. Here are a couple of parts:

Not happy with the idler pulley. I may pick a new up. Hell, it's only money.

What kind of paint are you using? Something that'll hold up to the high heat temps?

Some additional pictures. Removed old engine from stand after removing the engine mounts and flex plate. Lowered old engine temporarily on the floor. Put new engine on the lift and installed the last parts. It's ready to be installed this weekend or sooner.

New torque converter installed. Went right in with three obvious "clunks". Measured after to verify correct installation. It helped with the extra hands handing me the converter after getting myself in the engine bay. I also had some little hands helping.

Gotta teach them young. Also it's great that a girl learns some stuff--instead of having to depend on a man.

How much does a billet converter weigh over the stock JMBX? Anyone know?
Quick Google search gave me this: 50 lbs vs 30 lbs for this guy. Probably depends on what size and manufacturer aftermarket you compare?
