No it's not and thank you. It's never easy. I've lost two greyhounds to bone cancer. Hang in there and best wishes.

Man, I’m so sorry. It’s not fair. They are such wonderful, selfless creatures, so full of love. I know how bad that hurts. Now the bitter part of this past week. After a very difficult evening, I decided that it was time to say goodbye to my little friend. Tuesday evening I said my final goodbye to this special dog and my heart is still aching. He went quietly in my arms.

His final night with us. Comfortable and relaxed.
They will not go quietly,
the pets who’ve shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still can make us think
we hear them at the door
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them…
and always will.
Thank you @Sam Harris - it really does hurt. I was hoping his cancer was a slow version but it turned out to be quite aggresive. He is in a better place. Our other dog, Molly, slept in his spot the last two nights. She misses him too.Man, I’m so sorry. It’s not fair. They are such wonderful, selfless creatures, so full of love. So sorry you’re going through this, Bob. I went through the slow version with my last dog and imo I’d rather it happen quickly. We went through several operations to remove tumors and every time he would have to go through the pain of that, the cone, the healing process and then a few months later a new tumor and the whole process over again. I swear it felt like it was taking a piece of him each time. It’s just so hard to see a fur buddy go through that. May your family heal and feel peaceful again. It takes time, I know. I still have a hard time looking at pictures of mine even though it was 6 years ago.Thank you @Sam Harris - it really does hurt. Yeah I laid on the floor on a rug and held my buddy and told him goodnight as the vet gave him his shot. I still cry thinking about it.We were with her as she took her last breath. It'll be 1 year since she's been gone. My gf still cries for her.View attachment 395252
So painful to see something you love suffering.

Thank you. Appreciate the kind words.I'm sorry for your loss, I truly know how hard it is. I lost my good boy about 4 years ago, and I still keep his picture as my wallpaper on my phone. He died in my arms peacefully, I miss him so much. I wish my current dog would have gotten to meet him, there would have been some good times for sure, haha. I know there isn't much anyone can say to take the pain away, but I wish you the best for your healing process.
Thank you.Sorry for your loss buddy. I don't have the proper words to say but I'm sorry.
Thank you @tungsten , really killed my motivation, but need to focus on the love he brought to me and my family.Always sad saying goodbye. Cheers man.
Oh man glad you’re ok Bob. I know stroke protocol, learned that in CPR class. The build can wait, health is number one. Take it easy my man. It's been a very difficult 10 days. Yesterday as i was getting ready for work at 0600 I started getting very dizzy and almost fell into our big garden tub. I ended up sitting down and could not stand without losing my balance. Called my wife up and she immediately said we are going to the emergency room. She got dressed, loaded me up in her car and off we went. When we arrived and I described the symptoms they immediately went into stroke protocol. Scared the hell out of me, who would have thought dizziness would be one of the main symptoms. I had over 5 people in that room poking me, hooking me up to monitors and then wheeling me out for a CT scan and then MRI. I was lucking no stroke. Spent the night in the hospital for observation and diagnosed with Positional Vertigo. Home now, still a bit dizzy but functional. I learned a lot. I know I'm not the only older member on this site but age really doesn't matter. Please, all of you look up BEFAST - my wife knew, I did not. Take care of yourselves and let your loves one know. My public service announcement..
As far as my build, I'm still ordering parts as I save for my engine heads. Bought all my new sensors, valley cover, valve covers. Researching rocker arms and torque converter. Thanks to @Rocket Man I ordered a new master cylinder brake reservoir. I'm also putting together another order for my braided transmission lines.
Thank you all for your support.
