The build starts this weekend!!! I'm expecting 1 week till we complete it. This Saturday we will be taking the top end apart, and R&R various items under the hoe. Also gonna remove the bumper and get the TruCool installed. During next week, the heads will be resurfaced by our friend, and we will also install the new springs and guides and trunnions. The following Saturday will be putting it back together and having lots of fun afterwards.

For those that forgot what I'm doing:

Cam and goodies for the heads
ARH headers
Huge Radiator and Trans Cooler
Trans service
All 3 mounts.

That's the short version, haha

Well ****.......

Got the hoe to the shop to begin the work. Made it there, got the bay that our friend said to use ready to go. Fired the hoe up to put it in the bay, and she made some horrid noises, like the lifter decided to collapse. Tried to get it in the shop, when a REAL bad noise happened. A valve seat decided to break, and destroy a piston....****

I'll post more pics later, and the video I was making for you guys to hear what I thought was a lifter.

Here are a few teasers...

The valve seat broke in half and dropped into the cylinder. Half of the seat was stuck in the intake valve and wouldn't allow it to shut, lol

I'm gonna look for a new short block I think... I'm just still in disbelief that it happened and I hadn't planned on this contingency, lol.
