Nice... That's gonna make your day lol. Are you doing the install yourself or taking it to a shop? How do you like the sound of that intake? It was a pretty change on my 6.2L.

Blower I could do it my self but since most likely will go with valve train I will have my friend mechanic help me out, don't feel like doing it twice. I love the intake it gives a nice deep sound to the engine, and you know if I can hear it inside the truck over my loud ass tires it must be loud too.

Enjoy it lol, when you get those headers and Y pipe on you won't hear it so much... The Kooks and magnaflow combo sounds amazing.

Post some pics of install process too. I’m curious if the TVS is any easier than the Whipple I installed on mine. FYI I was hesitant on doing the valve train myself but it wasn’t too bad. The dual springs were a bit tricky but that’s about it.

you know I am still on the fence with that, since its not my DD I don't mind if it takes me bit longer.

I guess it's a time to research transmissions as well, is gearstar any good?
4L65E is for Tahoe?

I’m not familiar with them. I know transbuilderguy.com has a following and I bought a level 3 4l60 from performabuilt.com which is rated for 800 hp I believe. If you’re making a lot of hp you’re better off doing a retrofit to a 4l80 though. But I’ve heard it’s the weight of an suv that kills the 60/65. (They’re the same trans but in stock form the 65 has a few upgraded internals) For 2wd it’s not bad. My Denali is AWD and the transfer case adapter isn’t available anymore or I would do it. Currently mines sitting in my driveway waiting for me to pull the trans and see if I destroyed the transfer, case torque converter or tranny. I don’t have a garage to work on it and it’s winter. I did beat the Subaru STi off the line though lmao.

I've been in contact with those guys and there is a few of those adapters left floating around out there. I considered swapping transfer cases myself but haven't had any issues. Let me know if you want contact info to get one of the splined adapters...

yeah I seen your thread when you towed the truck, that sux, but thumbs up on the STi would love to see the guys face. after doing research on Gearstar seems like a very reputable company, I believe while back when was going through some threads on here I seen a member that installed one on his truck, but can't find it now. Gearstar have 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L80E and 4L85E all with rating of 30,000 GVW and capable of 450 HP - 1200HP in a price range from mid 2K to mid 8k. Is it a big job retrofitting to 4L80? on the side note I would love to add 4 Lo at later time not sure how pain on the ass that will be.

@67RS427 do you have sound or video clip of your BTR PDS STAGE III CAM?
This may be the only one I have with the cats still on it...

Check my other videos out, some of them are clips with cats and most of the recent ones are with gutted cats... The videos really don't do it justice, it is loud and sounds mean AF.

Edit

sales person at BTR was recommending BTR PDS STAGE I CAM for me any thoughts on that?
How much boost do you plan to run? You are also smaller cubic inches... I would talk to Nick @ BTR ([email protected]), he does the custom cam sheets and knows what he's doing. My idle quality is just fine and I LOVE the sound of the cam. It certainly makes a crap ton of power too. You won't be disappointed with any of them honestly. What heads are you running?

***Now that I'm thinking about it, that rev video was with the stock 6.2L and the LSA blower when I first did it... The BTR Cam was installed when I built the 402" motor so all the videos after that.

10 psi of boost, when I sent them e-mail Aaron responded to me, as far as heads its all stock.
