to make a long story short i for got to close my hood

got side track i drove to get somthing to eat and the

hood came up it scared me and i was able to get in the center turning lane both sides are bent on the hood

dam myself!! but at least i wasn't on the highway it

could have been a lot worst. this happen at night.

i will see what dent wizard will cost and i did try to get them out.

sucks, happened in my S-10 once. Just the other day I took off to do some yard work and I went out to the truck and the starter was dead. Not a huge deal, banged it with a hammer real quick, nothing, popped the hood and checked the battery. All of a sudden it started. I went to close the hood and it was hung up on something. then boom! The right side hinge bolt fell out and the hood twisted off to the left side of the truck, scratched the fender and bent the hell out of the other hinge. Not a good way to start a day. Had to take the hood off fix the hinge, find a nut to fit the bolt for long enough to run out and get new locking nuts for the hod hinges.

no it didn't crack the windsheild it has a crack in it aready.

i'm just hurt not seeing a smooth hood that i caused.

happened to me yesterday, but i left the hood open on purpose. my battery died on the street (just a couple blocks from my place) and i had to put a mobile charger on it, problem was it wouldnt charge. so i had to leave it on, and close the hood as much as i could. the she flew up while i did 20, (12 am thank god no cars on the street) and now i see a little ding :'(

Samething happened to me. I took it to the local Chevrolet Dealership's Body Shop and the estimate was approx. $2200.00 to fix. New hood, remove and paint fenders / hood to match and a couple of other parts. I had it fixed I did not like looking at the dents on my hood.

LOL! $200 for a hood isn't bad at all.

$2200 to have one fixed is INSANE!
