I have a $300 paint gun specific oil separator and a 2nd stage air dryer. I mean to tell you they are the bomb diggity in the shop when painting. Bypass the dryer for the air tools.

As far as the engine in truck. I probably should add one. I clean the TB and intake once a month. But that shit has gotten old.

Been running the Sears setup for about 8 months. It's been doing its job and catching quite a bit of oil.

It looks like oil/water separators are an acceptable low budget replacement (i don't need no blingy billet can), which is good because I may have one laying around...

heads up i changed a guys unit with the catchcans.com one and in 3k miles picked up double the amount. not all catchcans pick up the same amount of fluid just a heads up. This has been the case on also a few trailblazer ss's ive done which got switched to the catchcans.com version

I ordered one for each of my 2 vehicles. Shipped them priority and got them in 2 days. They are of excellent quality and really nice machine work. After inspecting them out of the box they are worth every penny and actually as a former machinist, probably quite a bit more than what they charge for them. I'll be installing next Saturday unless I get off work early one of these days

Apparently 2009+ are different?

You can't twist the intake side off....

Had to remove the two pieces with a socket (red circles). This allows you to lift the harness up and swing the pipe assembly towards you.

Ive heard horror stories about some of the homemade put-together cheapies..Not knocking anyone else....just was a no brainer for the amount it catches and all the reviews.

Negative. They are just threaded fittings. Teflon tape or thread sealer
