2023 Yukon Denali Fuel door cover came off

Wife went thru carwash and fuel door cover came off. Luckily, she went back a week later and found it in the wash bay. I know it snaps on but do I rely on that it will stay on? Has anyone else had same trouble? Part quoted from dealer here $171 plus what ever to have body shop paint. Not wanting to lose again, what would you recommend to affix it with as a backup measure? Thanks for any help

You might save some money by looking on eBay or a local wrecking yard. It’ll be interesting to see if others had this happen.
