There was a member on here that tried to take that ‘stick to the hood kind’ off and it peeled the paint but I think his was on from new, the previous owner.

clear bra, many tint shops do it since it’s like applying tint.

I have the stand-off kind on my hoe and I clear bra’ed the yukon. The standoff is hard to see with the truck being black until you’re on top of the truck.View attachment 250431View attachment 250432View attachment 250433View attachment 250434
I get more damage on my grills and bumpers than my hoods so I’d have to put clear bra on the entire fronts of my trucks. I just don’t worry about it.

How do you like the clear bra?

completely eased my mind about rock chips, my trucks see a lot of highway travel. Tahoe has chips but not bad. The yukon, i did the expel (I think) so I did full hood, bumper cover, Lights A pillars and a strip on the roof.... truck still looks new and you can’t even tell it’s on there.

I did the full front end on the yukon... lol

Never bought anything that didn’t already have chips so meh. If I bought a new vehicle I would do it.

Is the shark fin antenna nut a one time use part? Thinking about removing and painting it.

I would say yes. There is a piece that crushes when it’s installed.

Here is what it looks like underneath.

Alldatadiy doesn’t specify to replace it, just torque to 80 in/ lbs. That doesn’t look like it crushes, but instead spreads the force out in a bigger area. So I would say you should be ok to reuse it. It’s just holding pressure against the gasket so as long as it tightens up good and the gasket is held tight it should be good.
