Totally normal. I have taken the rear mount loose and jacked the trans up enough to wiggle it out. Some can just wiggle out.
I tried that....the exhaust rotated up with the trans. I could get a small amount of added clearance but not enough.

The standard advice (and which is what I resorted to for my first and so far only trans filter change) is using a big pry bar to force the exhaust down to the point where you can edge the pan out. TBH, it's frustrating and messy, so I will likely undo the exhaust next time.I tried that....the exhaust rotated up with the trans. I could get a small amount of added clearance but not enough.
has to have the eeprom programmed with a special interface. I have never built one but I am sure all the how-to's are onlineGot a Tech2 question if anyone knows off the top...
I have some missing DIC options, is this something I can activate simply with the Tech2 or do I need to do some programming? Do I need AcDelco TDS/SPS2?
Perimeter lighting options.Tech 2 won't do it. What options are you missing?
Seems like fun but more time and money than its worth for making the puddle lights work. Hard wire it is. Thanks though bud!has to have the eeprom programmed with a special interface. I have never built one but I am sure all the how-to's are online
When I did it I wedged a long prybar in there and used a floor jack to force the pipe out of the way. The only time I ever found the factory fogs useful was the first time I went to Moab and did some trail running at night. Help to light up undercut ledges and give depth perception. You have a much higher opinion of the factory fog lights than I do. They're only 25W or so, and the pattern isn't great.
Looks beefy..Finished the last 10% of the bumper build. Got the little extra steel parts welded and painted, the light bar mounted and wired, and even managed to reuse most of the hard foam insert behind the bumper cover.
I imagine it helps funnel air into the radiator and other coolers by blocking off the air flowing down.

I have to figure out a good foglight solution. Square lights on L-brackets would be the easiest to cut and weld for, but I like the idea of somehow reusing the factory lights. It would be significantly harder for me to cut a bice oblong hole and use the OEM light mounts.
Time for a barley-pop.
What wheels do you have on your truck? I like that look.
What are the wheel specs, and maybe I can find them that way?No clue. They were on it when I bought it. I like em so i decided to keep em.They do say GMC though.
appears to be a k2 sierra wheelWhat are the wheel specs, and maybe I can find them that way?
Did you just rebuild it, or did you toughen it up any? Finally got all the parts in and this morning got this back together. Feels really smooth with the new parts and no slop when in 4H or 4L.

It's so weird hearing everyone's ages. No one acts old, so it's just a little jarring. Note I am referencing age and not maturity. I am 56... My maturity is at least double digits...Getting it done but man im telling ya after 6 months of not doing a lot because of weather doing this work will make you sore all over but at 64 1/2 i can still get it done.
Got the plug's i needed this morning. Free.
Almost done with phase 1.
Need to remove a finder liner to tighten an upper shock mount bolt i found loose.
Temp wire up the front actuator so it has 12V when the key is on and use a 15A fuse so it will drive.
Go for a short drive to see how it drives so i can compare it to later when i tune the trans for 4.10 gr.
I actually don't know much about tuning but i can tune basic stuff using Blue Cat.
Hopefully in the next few weeks i can get a couple of days of decent weather to get the TC changed.
I probably need to get my tune updated on my truck. If I get on it, it chirps the tires between 50-55mph -- unless I'm in 4wheel high.4.10 with awd might not be too bad but if 2wd I'll just end up chirping the tires at every stop light or corner unless I'm careful
