I'd bet it's possible to upgrade my GMT800 Master Cylinder with a younger GMT900.Anyone add a Master Cylinder upgrade to their GMT800s?
I have the GMT900 front brake setup, but need to do the master this week.
Wondering if anyone knows of a decent master to look into as well?
Yup, imo--depends on the individual looking. Bought my set from a TYF member parting theirs out.My experience in NYC ... they either failed to notice, or, they noticed, but they didn't care.
If the 13th immediately successive 100MpH-0 panic stop stops as quickly / shortly as the 1st, yes. When I was at the Barrett Jackson auction, I spoke with a vendor: Wilwood.
Front slotted & red calipers. $1,600.
But is their quality worth it?
I get the hint....... I should up-grade my audio system instead....If the 13th immediately successive 100MpH-0 panic stop stops as quickly / shortly as the 1st, yes.
Why not just go for the 21+ 4 pot upgrade? That seems to be the best bang for buck brake upgrade for the GMT800.am planning this brake upgrade on my '04 Hoe for sometime during the summer.
I already have the ProStop slotted disks & red calipers ( they refurbish stock calipers). Why not just go for the 21+ 4 pot upgrade? That seems to be the best bang for buck brake upgrade for the GMT800.

I must be late to the party on that info, I didn't know they wouldn't fit 18s! (new AT4/Z71s have 18s I think?)Interesting thought, but I don't really need that much of an upgrade or to spend that kind of $$, and I'm keeping my 18" wheels.![]()

For about the same cost, try the exact same thing as above, except '10 stock config. My ProStop drilled / slotted rotors & calipers work great ... ( '05 stock configuration )
That's the setup I have on my 03. I also have the steel braided brake lines.Stops great. For about the same cost, try the exact same thing as above, except '10 stock config.
To be clear:
2010 caliper brackets, calipers, rotors, & pads. You will be pleasantly surprised!
Steel braided lines also......when I had the ProStop kit installed....That's the setup I have on my 03. I also have the steel braided brake lines.Stops great.
