When the temp sensor went out on the avalanche, it was reading zero and the fans were running wide open. Couldn't turn the ac on either. I'm not sure if you have done the fan upgrade yet or not.

Passenger side is Bank 2.

I found part of the problem I think--would this cause the stft issues?
Muffler has a nice hole in it.

Also I think the rear is on it's way out. I floored it going down the road and it sounded like I blew it. Clanging noises were coming from underneath, kind of sounded like the trans area at 1st. Still in gear i was stepping on it and nothing. I put it in neutral then in gear, little more clanging then it stopped, went into gear and it drove. Stepped on it again and i heard some banging coming from the ds rear area(sounded like it was coming from that area). Govt lock?

Don't hear any noise in the video, but it was off in park and I was able to turn the rear wheels while in the air and the driveshaft wasn't moving. Doesn't seem to be any real play in the ds, as in U joints. Opinions or ideas?

Wouldn’t think so since it’s downstream of any sensor.

Could it possibly be the transfer case making that noise? Even tho the prop shaft for the 4wd isn't connected? It kind of sounds like that's where the noise might be coming from--from the front. I originally thought it was the trans.

It doesn't make noise while shifting it, when you power brake it. I'm not sure if it happens when take turns, or hard turns.

Well, at least I was able to change the temp sensor--that's how this all started.

Sounds like transfercase to me. Hard to tell from video though. Best way to know for sure, fluid change.

Low and Glittery is bad. Dark, just means it’s well used.

If you still have the (RPO NP8) NP/NVG246 transfer case, new fluid is Auto Trac II, takes a little less than 2 quarts to fill, and is blue in color.

Its a GM fluid so last I checked, dealer or amazon.
