I remember reading about that YEARS ago.
Little trivia--on the oem hood liner , in "BUICK", the "C" is actually upside down. That's how you can tell an original hood liner when you see one. I'm sure @swathdiver can confirm that.

So since I’m going to be installing the volume buttons on the steering wheel for the radio I’m going to replace the steering wheel with a cleaner one since mine is worn from its prior life. I picked up a leather steering wheel it’s the one on the right in this pic.

Did a quick mod the other day it was something I pulled off the 05 and never installed. So back when the Vics were in service criminals would smash out the reverse lights and pull the trunk release well to avert that problem Ford made these metal plates that were commonly installed there to prevent these smash and grabs, I don’t keep much back there but it’s good to have incase.

Yup it’s happened a decent amount over the years and sometimes they never found the firearm or firearms, if a civilian did that they would loose their permit.
Happens all the time in South Florida. I think half of the population in South Florida is on Meth,Mushrooms or *******.

The sight shield aka the radiator cover on the Vic had seen better days it was cracked on one side, so I picked up a new one drilled holes in it so it would fit over the siren speaker bracket gave it a good cleaning followed by some CG VRP for a nice long lasting shine.

So the spare tire is kinda a PITA to get to on these cars it’s on that shelf in the trunk, so I the CSP take home Vics they installed a full length trunk tray they mounted the spare tire there along with the electronics makes accessing the spare so much easier if you ever need it so snagged one today cleaned it up and took off the brackets for the electronics since I won’t need them.

Nice score.

Definitely and only paid $75 for it, a few months back I scored a brand new on off EBay but somehow the seller “misplaced” it lol that one you didn’t have to drill any holes this one you just need to drill 4 (two on either side) should get it installed this weekend just gonna grab new hardware and maybe add some lock washers.

This past weekend I installed the trunk tray, the install went pretty smooth I had to pull the rear seat so I could install the nuts/bolts easier because I needed to install some washers as spacers so it wouldn’t crush the fuel pump wiring and while I was in there I replaced the trunk light bulb with an LED one.

The driver side side marker would get moisture in it every time I’d wash it so I picked up a new OEM set of side markers, but since these have strobes in them I had to modify them slightly and drill the holes then install the strobes and seal them up.
