Btw, factory y pipe is a pain in the arse to get off... Finally got all of the hardware out, but now I need to figure out how to wiggle the damn thing off of the studs on the manifold. I really don't want to pull the studs out of the manifold.

Casually driving down the road on my way to rotate tires and other upgrades/maintenance... Catch this damn container seal straight through the tire.
The hole is way too large to be patched. So now instead of getting another 15 or 20,000 miles out of these tires, one of them is trash and I just spent 1,350 bucks on four new ones. Hopefully they arrive soon since my spare is about 2" shorter than what I have on it now.

On the bright side, I suppose I have three spare tires that match the size once the new ones get mounted.

They can probably patch it on the inside combined with a plug in the hole. Hope you’re not 4wd if you’re running a small tire on one corner, might mess up your TC.

I am a four-wheel drive. But I always turn traction control off anyway.
At this point I'm not even sure I'll get the exhaust finished in time...but if I do, I'll definitely go around the block to see how it does before heading home.

Installed the 2nd cheapest set of speakers available from Crutchfield in the front doors. The Bose speakers either didn't hold up well or sucked from the factory, but these are a massive improvement for only 80 bucks. Broke a few of the door panel clips but at 10c a piece on amazon those are basically disposable anyway.

Nope, but on the crutchfield product selector it had me enter if I had the bose system so it might've done some matching on their end. I honestly don't care much about car audio but the factory system had degraded to the point it was painful to listen to.

Well, actually there’s two concerns being conflated by a common acronym. The transfer case in an AWD unit may experience some issues due to the sustained difference in shaft speeds. The Case in a 4x4 like mine won’t care unless I’m driving around with the front drive engaged.

And the traction control will certainly be affected either way. My truck had one odd size tire when I bought it and it triggered ABS and stability control faults because the system sees different wheel speeds when traveling in a straight line and knows that’s not kosher.

Yeah, the AWD transfer case is the one that gets damaged. I forgot the 4WD one is ok as long as you don’t engage 4WD.

Tahoe cruised at 70 averaging 22.3 MPG:

Went to the reunion on Saturday, then to Kemah Saturday night. Visited some more all day Sunday before finally getting on the road around 8pm. Got home around 1:15 this morning.

got the tune a few days ago, haven't really been able to drive it much but over a few days the transmission seems to be getting along and liking it

2nd light, there was a nbs hoe in front of me and a dodge ram behind me, left the hoe behind in 2nd gear (didn't have a chance) the ram almost caught up to me but the tune kept me in 3rd up 103 and I had to let off because of a light and it's time for brakes, you'll see him turn right at the next light he gave me the thumbs up.
meh, it is what it is for a 6500lbs+ na beast
