So I think the air compressor is dead. Fairly common. Arnott shocks # 2708 are about $ 200 a piece rebuilt including a core of 50.

Where is the compressor so I can check it.

Drivers rear outside frame rail behind the rear tire.

looks like from I have read the gds2 won't work on the camaro either, if you are planing on doing your own repairs and troubleshooting on the denali I would just grab a tech2 off of ebay it will pay for it's self in due time. They run about $300-350, no subscription required unless you plan on programming a module or something in which case it's $40 for 2yrs per vin number which is not bad at all considering what the dealer will charge for just about anything.

Taking Denali into Savoie in Troy to get plugs and wires on 8/14. Then heading north on 8/15.

Tech 2 is packed as is the Arnott compressor and tools....

Are you able to adjust the brightness and contrast on the backup camera view?

I'm told, and it says in the manual, that while in reverse you should be able to push the menu button and have those adjustment settings available. I can't get mine to do that?

Changed the Air Compressor ad put in the new fuse. What an absolute Bi$ch it was. I had to cut the connector (discontd the batt first) to get the wire harness apart. It was CAKED with dried mud.

see pic of compressor- fully trashed

Yep, that’s about what I would expect. The two that I had to swap out looked very similar. After the first one, I learned to put a grinding face mask and stocking cap on to keep from looking like something exploded in my face.

Annoying rattle when on dirt roads. I think its the door lock on the RR door. It seems to be loose and rattle against the escutcheon. I need to confirm thats it. My fix would be to put some 'noise tape" on the button. This is the stuff that is like tape with a light fuzz on one side. Its used between plastic parts to reduce interior noise. I'm up north so not near my supply (used to work for OEM interior supplier).

Anyone else have this issue?

I did on my 2011. I bought a pack of velcro ovals from walmart (in the craft section) and took the fuzzy sides and cut them in half. Removed the lock knob pulls and stuck the fuzzy velcro to the door panel behind where the pulls go then reinstalled the pulls.

I think that light fuzz rattle tape is called Flocking tape?

That’s a funny word!! Sorry that’s how my 12 year old brain works haha. I need to get me some of that. My door panels on my 2006 rattle a tiny bit and it drives me bonkers!

The rattle is only bad on dirt/washboard roads and then it rattles like crazy. Stereo will not drown it out except at nosebleed levels.

Our 08 Denali XL just started doing this in the exact same place lol. Going to buy some of the self adhesive velcro tape and use the fuzzy side.

Z55 option is Auto Ride. Computer controled Magnetic Ride Control / MRC / MagneRide struts on all four corners with rear having a pair of integrated air shocks to level the suspension.

Annoying rattle when on dirt roads. I think its the door lock on the RR door...

Anyone else have this issue?

The MRC isn’t something to balk at and yank out. It’s oem on:
