That will take some work so for now I think I'll rock the light bar. It's been awhile since I could drive it due to the paint work etc. so after awhile I'll gather the stuff for the RGB panels. I need to do more research too. In the meanwhile I decided to buy the Morimoto LED fog lights. They're $210 everywhere I looked but there was a seller on EBay that I've bought from before who had a "make offer" listing so I offered $180, thinking he'd counter but he accepted. The billet grill will be here tomorrow so I'll get the bumper grill area done.

Post some pics once you get them and how bright they are. Been looking at the same ones for my Z71 Tahoe.

Will do. The other day when I went to get the truck from my painter he pointed out I was missing 2 trim pieces at the roof so after $40 here they are. One more thing the damn PO's painter left off.

Got the Morimoto fogs. Pretty good quality and they have a big heatsink so I'm thinking they will be bright. I'll get some night time pics tonight. I still have to adjust them too. Install was straightforward, just swap the hardware off the factory fogs.

Also got the billet grill piece the other day and I had to grind the edges of the bars to an angle so it would fit. I also did a quick sanding and painted it black instead of the chrome. My intention was to just use this to mount a black textured plastic piece to but it doesn't look bad as is. If I decide to leave it, I'll have to pull it and paint it better with more sanding to it. The truck originally came with these billet parts installed over the main grill and even though I hated those, this little one doesn't look bad (after I painted the Super Start battery black). Thoughts?

The new bumper looks good, but I liked the solid bumper more. Too bad it wasn't done the right way.

As far as the grille stuff- There's too many patterns going on. I like the OEM crosshatch pattern and think it would look good in the small opening, even if you could only find grille material with the "diamond holes" were a little smaller. Or, you can cut out the OEM grille and put the same billet inserts there (Or is that where you're headed?).

I’m def not putting those billet pieces back on the main grill. I cut the ones up that the truck came with and threw them in the trash. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent looking for diamond mesh that is even remotely close to the main grill. My thinking is maybe find a damaged HD grill at a wrecking yard because a good one goes for $150-$200 and I’m not paying that much to chop it up and possibly just destroy it. My other thought was either a solid black panel attached to the billet insert or find a way to attach the “ black/led “ panel I talked about before with either RGB led’s or an led bow tie behind it. The problem with the latter is mounting it. Also there’s a mounting problem with the factory grill mesh but I’m sure I could figure something out.

Please don't keep that billet...

I like the solid bumper as well, but if you do it right, the new bumper will look fine.

If it doesn't work, I'll just give you three fiddy for the trick and come get it off your hands

Here's an HD grill from an nbs. Would that mesh work?

Night time shots. First is fogs (still need adjustment), then with the light bar on, then with headlights on too. I don't have a great place to take nighttime shots, my driveway sucks.

If anyone knows if an 08 1500 bumper fits a 12 grill lmk. That’s what I originally wanted to do but my buddy said it wouldn’t work but he only does stock stuff. I just don’t like the HD bumper on a slammed truck because it has the big lower part that acts as a valance too that I had to leave off. That’s what leaves the big lower hole. I’ve read so much about it and some say it works but others say no.

That weird reflection is on your camera lens. I fight those "ghost" images when I'm trying to take a pic of a touchscreen on a safe that a customer has cracked. The touchscreen is flat and facing up, so the overhead lighting reflects on it and the phone's camera wants to focus on the glare. Manually focusing elsewhere darkens it and the ghost lights appear. Damned phone wants to focus on everything BUT the crack in the glass.

Yeah, not so relevant to the subject. But, a nuisance still fresh on my mind from yesterday that I had to vent about.

Mine is the bumper and grille you're talking about. Same reason I didn't do the HD bumper
