No thanks, those about killed my shoulder swinging a 5 lb sledge hammer. I had to through bolt my vise and reinforce my workbench; the whole top was trying to come off. I'm getting too old for that shit.

So... here's the finished brackets and the light mounted. Plus a shot of the mounted bumper at ride height. It still needs the filler piece as well as the upper grill but it's coming along. I think it's going to look good when it's all done.

Here it is aired out. Or "laying light bar" as @iamdub says. I still need to mount the switch and finish the trim but I'm done for today.

Not yet. I didn't see a way to do that on this light. The joints are flush. Plus I won't be driving this truck in the rain much, if ever. That light might not ever get wet.

I have those same shell toes. Bought 'em mainly cuz I was Fred Durst for Halloween last year.
Oh- light bar came out great. I'd have to say I've never seen one located like that on a 'bagged truck.

Couldn't find a RGB one. It's white white. Matches the fogs though.

I have always bought the light bars with the "fisheye" lenses and they seem to work great. Never tried the "plain" ones before.

I haven’t driven it at night with it on. It seems ok just sitting there though although it seems more of a flood effect.

I noticed the same thing with the curved bar on the Burb... the 52" straight bar on my Peterbilt was definitely more like a spot light.
I prefer the straight bars for light output but sometimes you just need a curved bar.

I got a bit more done today. Nothing is permanent but it gives me a better idea. The upper ABS will be mounted more to the outside of the billet grill so it's petty much flush, and the bottom part above the light bar needs an aluminum backing bar bent to the curve of the light bar so the ABS doesn't distort. I couldn't tighten the screws too much or it caused waves even with spacers cut to height behind the bolt holes. But today I also discovered a new product from TAP Plastics that may change things. It's called Black & LED Acrylic Sheet. It's black until you put an LED light behind it, and then it turns the color of the LED. Hmmmm...

I was thinking RGB tied to my other ones, maybe both panels done that way with no light bar.

That will take some work so for now I think I'll rock the light bar. It's been awhile since I could drive it due to the paint work etc. so after awhile I'll gather the stuff for the RGB panels. I need to do more research too. In the meanwhile I decided to buy the Morimoto LED fog lights. They're $210 everywhere I looked but there was a seller on EBay that I've bought from before who had a "make offer" listing so I offered $180, thinking he'd counter but he accepted. The billet grill will be here tomorrow so I'll get the bumper grill area done.
