I upgraded my charging module in my 2015 Denali, GM came out with an update/upgrade module for the pre 2018 wireless charging vehicles. My good friend is a parts manager at a local dealer near me and he gifted me with one after I helped him fix a couple of things around his house. For reference here is a link from GM parts direct. It took me less than 10 minutes to swap it out and it works flawlessly with my iphone X

Has anyone ordered one yet?

Mine was ordered through the my local dealer where my friend works, part number on the box is the exact part number I referenced on gmpartsdirect. I have installed it myself (took about 10 minutes) and it works flawlessly with my iphoneX. It's been installed for about a month now.

This must be a pretty new module then I take it. Does anyone have any pictures of the module? It's a not a cord is it; this is something that you swap out to actually make the wireless charging on the center console functional?

If so definitely worth giving a shot for $60...

This is a pretty new module, believe it was released late in May of this year. This is a complete replacement of the existing module with a compatible plug/play harness (no splicing/cutting of wires or connectors). Pics attached in this order: new module, old module, top of console lid (post install) and bottom of console lid (post install).

^^^Thanks for the pics. Exactly what I was looking for.

I have a set of those same plastic “pry tools” they definitely come in handy!

I’m going to order this module and make his swap here soon for sure.

I ordered Module 13521066, and harness 84193710 for my truck and they work great. The harness is plug and play, all came to 135 dollars from GM Canada if you can believe it. I also ordered the new charging rubber pad that is supposed to come with it #23264395 which supersedes #23264394, however although the part came properly marked it was still a 394 liner. I do not think there is a different part even though the YouTube video made reference to the amount of 'ribs' the new liner has. The new module works great and is happy charging all manner of Apples and Samsungs.

Will this work for a 2016 Yukon denali?

Also, was this part number for the module and cable? or does this module connect directly with no cable needed?

I've read where people were buying the 2018 charging module and then having to either make a cable or buy a cable..... as it has a different connector

The module in the pictures that works for the trucks 2015-2017 is the one that is in the 2018 and up. I got confused when there was another part number showing a 'package' this would lead me to believe that they have included both the module and the harness, both of which I mentioned in my post above this one. This module does need the harness or trimming of the older connector, but its really cheap just to buy the package, or the harness and module, when I bought mine there was no package setup so the only way to buy it was separately. All part numbers which I called out in my post are for the new module and harness and they do work.

Unless you have the wireless infrastructure all ready in place on your vehicle, ie the wiring that would go to the module and to the radio to display charging, these items would not work. They are only meant to work on vehicles before 18 that had wireless charging but could not charge the apple phones. GM may come out with a proper upgrade for folks without the charging option. This is the way of the future.

Xavier, do a Google search. On one of the truck forums they are buying the charging console lid, running the wire, and then they are able to wireless charge. good luck.

I'm looking for the newer style rubber mat that goes over the wireless charger.
I would go to a dealer and get a VIN off of a newer ride and have parts order it, or order online.

Hey amigos, my 17Premier came with the wireless charging, had an iphone 8 plus and now a XS Max, which also doesn't charge on top of the pad.
Anyone ordering 2018 parts and having results please let us know.
Thank you
JJB

Go to the dealer and look at an Escalade or 18 Sierra. I hear their console lid is supposed to have the larger slot for the plus/max family. If I’m correct, a lid swap could be in order.

There’s like 5 threads on this. The new charging module WORKS WITH THE IPHONE 8, X AND ABOVE. I still have one more for sale.
