This is from the shop manual. Subscribe to it at AllDataDIY.
I wonder if there was a revision made at some point.

There are many posts and links to data sheets that show 15-30, as well as 14-19 inch pounds.

I'm right at 18-19 so that should work...hope so anyway..lol.

and you guys talking about the 3rd brake light?

any pics?
Escalade Style spoiler/brake light. Lens goes all the way across, instead of just hanging down in the center

I have a smoked lens that lights up all the way across

The manual is kept up to date. I could check a manual copy if you want, what are you referring to?

Will one from an Escalade work with no modifications or gaps? I know a guy that has two black ones he's parting out.
That's what I used on my Yukon. It's the same at the ends where it matters. The difference is the width of the CHMSL lens. What's cool is that the Eagle Eyes fully-lit spoiler uses the same lens shape as OEM Escalade, so the light can be swapped to and OEM Escalade spoiler and fit perfectly.

Rebuilding the rear diff, (8.6")

Seems that 14-19 inch pounds of pinion preload is what's documented, and there's a few articles showing 15-30.

I can't tell if that's a revised figure, or maybe pinion with carrier preload.

It's all back together and I had 18 inch pounds of pinion, and about 25-27 ish total of pinion and carrier with the 3.42 ratio so all should be in spec.

I've been tempted to try it in the 6.2. What is your MPG hit with E85?

Consistently down from 22 to 17.

It's still a win cuz I have to run high octane, so 93 or E85 are my only options. That 5 MPG is a 22% loss, meaning it's taking 22% more fuel than with 93. But, the E85 is 28% cheaper than the 93 (on this particular day the 93 was $3.95). So I'm getting what should be around the same octane as 93, if not more, at a 6% savings. Then there's the other benefits of E85 such as its cleaning and cooling properties.

Also, it's never 85% anywhere I've gotten it from. It has always been right around 65%. If it were 85%, I'd get a little less MPG. It'd still be a win financially. The rest of the benefits are inherent. The only drawback is needing to refuel sooner. I can live with that.

Cool. I was thinking the ends were different for the Caddy appliques.

Yes, they are the same except the light lense goes all the way across

Cool. He wants $150, but I asked about a two-fer discount in case I wanted one for mine. Plus I'll likely be buying even more stuff off of him.

If you wanna measure yours and estimate shipping, coming from 70809 should give you an accurate figure. PM me if you're interested.

I've used mine with and without the Escalade appliques. When I bought Escalade style LED taillights, even though they were marketed for Tahoe/Yukon, and wired to directly plug into the factory harness (unlike real Escalade taillights), they were shaped to fit the Escalade appliques. So I now use the Escalade ones. But either style will fit. Here's a post earlier in this thread where I gave up on my DIY paint and bought some factory-painted ones. This shows the fitment:
