Thanks for the info. I'll dig around. Just wanted to "skip to the front of the line" if possible. EBay's history limit is a nuisance sometimes.
might have been us speedo i know they have been around a long time I bought other clusters from them in the past
***edit looks like maybe they only sell kits anymore :(

I know I got the overlay from black cat, took like 3 months to get it because no one makes a 140mph overlay

I did find that the '07-'08 PPV did have a 4-speed and 140MPH speedometer. It's nothing I'm in a rush for. More of just keeping an eye out for a viable cluster and what would be needed to get it going.

Maybe I should just combine my wanted mods and get a wireless CarPlay HU with a Maestro RR and have the speedo displayed on that.
that works, I have that option but have to go select it each time I cycle the key if I want it displayed.
a gps works too

That's fine with me. I actually don't exceed 120 MPH every time I start it. :D
I get close to it a lot :driver: easy to hit 80-100 just getting on the freeway, people drive so slow sometimes on the onramp, I don't want to die by a semi truck running me down. so I usually sling shot past them and right into the fast lane.

Same, I roll 90-110 and that seems to suit me out here in DFW. I only hit the highways four times a month when I go get my kid for visitation. The rest of my time I’m in stop and go traffic…

I don't speed 24/7 lol, was just running to grab some take-out from olive garden and pizza place
my average driving speed on the highway is about 85, traffic is about the same sometimes just depends on the time of day

I figured the kids were in the car or you were going to church LOL.

if you still have it and if the serial number is intact then you can go to the valentine website and submit a serial number check. this will tell you the cost for a firmware upgrade/repair or exchange price for a brand new one. usually it's around $200 for a repair, then you print the form out and send it to there shop in Florida and in about 2-weeks you get it back. the problems you noted are classic failures on these after years of dedicated use. Over the years I have picked up a few of these at flea markets and thrift stores and usually people get rid of them when they start glitching out not realizing they can be repaired for less then a new one, then I have them fixed or replaced with a new one and then sell them at a profit as long as the serial number is readable.
You have any for sale…? :naughty:

No not at the moment, you can get them off ebay fairly reasonable, if you pick one up grab a blend mount for it that's the greatest thing since sliced bread, then all you need is a power cord to connect to the mirror harness, uses a phone jack so that works too

1st post as I learn more about this forum. I recently purchased a 2008 Tahoe LTZ with the 5.3 flex. So far I have replaced both front struts (ACDelco 580-435) had Goodyear change out the coils. Also replaced the rear shocks (Arnott MR-3436). These made a massive difference in the ride.
Problems still to fix - getting P0420 and P0455 error codes. Dealership is telling me it is bad catalytic converters. Appointment Wednesday at my local muffler shop to replace at half the costs. Keep my fingers crossed this fixes the issue.
What’s next you ask? Good question. Any ideas?

I usually pass then on the right, still in the on ramp, as they immediately attempt to merge way before the merge lane ends, which creates a big gap in front of them as they slow down the entire freeway because they have no clue how this on ramp/ merge theory works. Then I shoot to the fast lane easy peazy.
