This ^^^ is why I swapped mufflers and kept resonator in place.

I gave it a shot and hoped for the best.. other then what I said in other post it sounds incredible and mean..haha.

I've got a MF knockoff, basically a 12589 and it doesn't drone at all. Pretty calm at cruise and louder as you get into it.

Just a thought, have you run it without the SLP? Tailpipe lengths can have an effect on drone.

Without the slp...no i havent. With the windows down its not as bad but in this state my windows are up 85+% of the time.

Did you notice much of a difference in sound level without the resonator VS with it???

I doubt it makes much overall difference other than the drone factor.

it was just a bit louder and it had more of a straight pipe sound vs a nice deep grumble of truck.

You might just be more sensitive to that particular range of frequencies, kinda like some people's ears are sensitive to the buffeting of the 2015+ SUVs while others don't hear/feel it. I could BARELY hear a difference when I removed my resonator and I had to really listen for it. Others here report a more significant change in sound. Maybe if we tested the sound electronically before and after to eliminate the varying human factor, we'd find there is a clear and distinct difference among all of them. Actually, I'm sure this was done and is why GM engineers added the resonator. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound? It does, we just may not hear it. If a resonator is removed, does it change the sound? Going back on the buffeting thing, I'm starting to think that all the new SUVs do it due to their aerodynamics. It's just that some people's ears may not be "sealed" as well (more or less sensitive to pressure pulses) or otherwise "tuned" to the offending frequencies or pressure pulses.

My hearing is messed up from the military, but i get what your saying.
if my muffler was stock im sure it would be different, its not its the bw300 and it send drone and vibrations through the truck when the cabin is closed up.
