Installed Eibach sway bars and upgraded end links
Just a long time lurker who finally decided to post somethingCool.
Hey, who is this guy? I like's what I sees.
Today's episode of TemuforTahoe features a new liftgate handle switch as well as some goodies

After disassembly I noticed the switch had been disconnected all along. First install left me disappointed, but some WD40 contact cleaner resolved the issue. Works like a charm! Identical piece for about 9 bucks.
Side note; those 4 nuts and bolts for the handle are absolute genius! Washer and nut pressed as one piece with the washer still spinning freely. Also the bolt tip was designed as a torx head, most likely an anti overtorque feature. Very clever.

Window switch is 100% possible to replace from the outside even though I had the interior panel removed because of the other switch. Works perfectly, about 5 bucks.

And an air freshener for good measure.
Stay tuned for the next episode where I start messing around with parking sensors.
Cool.

Sez the guy with his car in the shop for a heart transplant. Did you go make sure they're working today?
can't hurt anything I guess. don't know how I'd judge if it did anything haha. View attachment 443613
I ran that for a cycle before yanking out my 5.3, so I can't speak to it's effectiveness. That 5.3 engine, with about 180k on it, consumed some oil and always came out dark after 4-5k oil change intervals along with running a catch can.
There's an interesting video about that oil on Lake Speed Jr.'s YouTube channel. It can't hurt the engine, so I say go for it. I'd probably run it now, but I still don't have 5k miles on the rebuilt 6.0.
I had one disappear in like 5+ years, but always eyeball them just in case, so far so goodLost a screw on the left front mudflap.
Heard a slight flapping sound on the highway and found that one fastener missing and every screw on both front flaps was loose.
Found a temporary replacement at a local farm supply but the washer is zinc and it is not captured on the screw.
Guess I'll have to order one online.
Only thing I can think of is the drastic temperature swings make them come loose so I'll have to check them every few months.
They made a huge difference in the amount of crap that gets thrown onto the running boards when it snowed a few weeks ago. That reminds me I need to put mine on before we get any snow here
