Nice! Where did buy it? One of my trucks has lines that are starting to seep some fluid.

Should probably replace it..
in a few years, lol

amazon had the best price on the ACdelco replacement. they were like 25 bucks cheaper than rockauto.

Remember the clutch fan threads are right-hand thread, so counter-clockwise from the front to remove. You probably knew that already, but....

sadly ive dealt with them fans before, some times the belt grips tighter and it breaks free, some times you need the pulley holding tool. whats wrong with them 4 bolts they used use? lol truck needs a new belt too. its all cracked up bad.

A term I used ( to help remember), when changing wheels on a pitstop using a single big wheel nut on EITHER SIDE of a race car:

“ Left is right / right is wrong "

got that water pump finished up today, 3 parts stores not one had the right tool to hold the damn pulley, but in a pinch a 3 ft pipe wrench will hold it tight as a clams ass in a rain storm lol

i tried that method too. also didnt work. that 3 ft pipe wrench worked as good as the tool. or a air hammer that i did not have.

Had torn boots on upper balljoints that only have like 30k miles on them. This basically turned into a front end rebuild. I had to put upper control arms on it about 30k ago and did the idler arm at that time as it was a bit sloppy. Other than that the suspension has 190k on it. Figured I would refresh what I could while I was in there.

Also found the pass cv axle just started slinging grease so replaced boots on that.

Also pass side inner pad/rotor had some wonky wear pattern.

Parts list.
Lower balljoints
Upper balljoints
Inner/outer tiered
Pads and rotors all 4 corners
Sway bar end links
Repalce boots on pass side cv axle.

You just replaced a boot instead of the whole axle? Did you get a boot kit?

Yeah I put new boots on it. I try and reuse oem axles as much as possible. Rockauto has inner and outer boot kits. You get the boot, clamps and grease.

I went out to start the Ole girl and I ended up having to break out the lithium jump pack. I haven't been driving it much since I got this job with a company vehicle now. My wife thinks I should sell it, but I KNOW I won't get anything close to the the money I have put into it over the past few years. Plus with the paint fading now on the hood and drivers side, I would be lucky to get $2500 for it. Id rather let it sit and keep it as a spare vehicle.
