Sub thump

Has anyone experienced sub thump with a Bose adapter harness and a Wavetech Link2 LOC? Amp is a 500W Kicker Key.

It seems as though the stock amplifier gets a signal to turn on when a door or hatch is opened, and then goes back to sleep. This causes a loud “thump” through the sub. Scared the piss out of me. Also scares you half to death if you are poking around in the rear with your head right next to the sub!

The ignition is not on or in acc. Does not do it all the time.

Any ideas?

that's a classic occurrence with aftermarket amps/subs.
the reason it happens on your vehicle is because when you open a "door" (the hatch is a door) on these newer vehicles since 2015+ this wakes the system up including the radio which is then likely triggering your amp (without audio) and you get the pop sound, you could try a delay relay or a audio signal activated relay that might help prevent that from happening
there is also this little drop down converter that drops the 12v trigger down to 5v so then you may not have any pop or it may be reduced.
