Didn’t go out last night was in the mid 20s All pulled apart. Anyone have a suggestion what to clean the lower intake with, I've seen people say they bring it to a shop to have it cleaned.
Is it blasted, parts washed, boiled in a solution, brake cleaner, or mineral spirits what would you do? Thanks

That’s not bad IMHO, just make sure mating surfaces are nice and clean. I had some putting in the front corner/#1&2 area but sealed fine. Carb cleaner, wheel brush on a drill, some sandpaper and elbow grease. That’s by far the crappiest part of the job.

What about this can’t see other side do you think this is a crack or just in the casting and what are these holes for not all in the same spot like random one is right on the edge of the injector hole

That does look like cracks. Is there water on the other side? didn't look like it but you are there. If it is only intake valley you should be ok. Intake Manifolds around here are 35-40 junkyard.I haven't seen one crack before. Try a drop of acetone on crack to verify its not a scratch. It will pull right into crack.

Make sure you keep it very clean during reassembly and IMO, you cannot go wrong with Fel-Pro gasket kits. Better than OE in many instances.

One valve cover has direct vacuumn, the other air cleaner vacuumn. Clean for a hi mile. What oil you using? Valvolene Dino always makes a dark film as you call it, but the rest stays clean.
