I decided I want to do a build thread. I have a 2006 Bermuda Blue Z-71 NBS Tahoe. I'm not as fast with upgrades as most people, but I've had a lot of fun reading everyone else's build threads for inspiration. I have only done minor mods so far, but figured I'd share what I've done and maybe inspire someone else! Let me introduce you to my Bermuda Blue Hoe:

2006 Chevy Z-71 Tahoe
5.3L Flex 243K Miles
Bench Backseat and no 3rd row.

Mods Completed:
-Wet Okole Front Seat Covers (Page 1)
-Console Vault (Page 1)
-Weather Tech Heavy Duty Floor Mats (Page 1)
-6-Hi Fleece Chip Mod (Page 1)
-Linex Plastic Rocker panels, rear bumper accents, rear faux air vents, roof rack, front bumper valence, front windshield lower air dam (Page 1)
-EBAY Cold Air Intake system (Page 2)
-Upgraded Tires and Wheels (Page 1)
-Window Tint 5% all the way around except windshield
-Optima Car Battery Red Top 800 CC Amps
-T-6061 Billet Aluminum 50 Cal Ammo Antenna/Stubby Antenna (Page 3-4 & 25)
-T-6061 Black Billet Aluminum Chevy Emblem (Page 3 & 4)
-Auxiliary Reverse LED Lights (Page 5, Page 6)
-HD Hood and HD Grille (Page 9, Page 13)
-Carven RPT true dual exhaust (Page 16 & 17)
-Bilstein 5100s and level out (Page 19)
-32" Curved LED Lightbar (Page 21)
-Aux Reverse Lights (Page 23)
-Fire Extinguisher (Page 26)
-Tru-Cool Max 40k Transmission Cooler (
Page 26)
-Carven Exhaust (Page 17 & 27)
-Spyder LED Headlights (
Page 27 & 28)

Mods in the near future:
-Upgrade stock stereo
-Integrated CB Radio
-Headlight upgrade
-Upgrade instrument cluster

Of course there are infinite things we could do to our Hoes and Yukons, but these are my next priorities. Spending money on the mods along with the regular maintenance and whatever wears out tends to bleed a man dry. But I'll be damned if it ain't fun! I Love my Hoe and don't ever want another truck!! Enjoy!

This is on my list. Did you have it done somewhere? How much did it cost? Did the pieces get removed, or painted on the truck?

I took it to the Linex Authorized location here. Just happened to be a Nissan dealership. All parts were removed and painted.

I'll get home and find the receipt for the price. I got a good deal and an extra 15% off for being Law enforcement

I was quoted $750. With my discount I was out the door around $680. Of course they hooked it up and did the rear vent caps and the windshield air dam for free after my quote
