Well here goes nothing. Been on a ton of different forums over the years reading all types of cool build threads. The one thing I have never done tho was start MY OWN build thread. I figured since I'm still in the beginning stages of this new project, I may as well start a build thread here and now. Especially after reading thru @Fosscore entire build thread then starting on so many others on here, its sucking me in lol.

I picked up my 2005 2WD Bermuda Blue Tahoe in June of 2020 with just over 179k miles. I'm the second owner, and have the window sticker from the lot when it was first sold. Since I've had it alot of the basic fixer upper things have been done which I will list below if I can remember. My beginning goal for this Tahoe was just to replace my extended cab truck due to our baby coming, so I needed more space. Wanted a Suburban, but just couldn't find what I wanted in my budget range. Now that I got sucked into TYF, I still want to find a Suburban, and turn this Tahoe into the street/strip toy. Bigger motor, 4L80 swap, ProCharger etc. That is all in due time tho.

Anyways, here's what I can remember thus far that I have done either maintenance wise or mod wise, and if I can find the pictures I will get them posted as well.

-New shocks front and rear. Holy crap Nivomat shocks are expensive!
-Replaced both back seat window motors and regulators.
-Back glass struts
-Rear main engine seal and cover
-Radiator after it blew out randomly. Lived to 190k miles tho!
-New rear sway bar bushings and links, lower control arms, transmission mount and spring isolators. (Basically trying to hunt down a squeak over bumps that I still havent found yet and its driving me nuts.)
-Power steering gear box
-Smoked Black Headlights and Fog Lights (Need new headlights tho as the radiator that just blew out took out the passenger headlight housing)
-LED bulbs for Headlights and Fog Lights
-Reverse LED Lights
-Replaced all the steering wheel buttons with new ones with working lights
-Sony AVX1000 with PAC Kit to keep onstar and steering wheel controls
-Swapped out the jump seat for a full center console unit
-3% limo tint all the way around excluding the windshield for now

Thats all I can remember for now. If I can think of more I'll add it to the post. I also have a bunch of things piled up in the garage from amazon that I just havent had time to install yet. Full LED cluster/gauges rebuild kit, USB lighter update, reverse camera for radio, LED plate lights, decladded LTZ rims/tires. Belltech Lowering kit is on order. Just bunch to do between the baby and working nights. Slow and steady does it. Just happy to start my first build thread after a few decades on forums without one lol.

Welcome to the fold. She's looking good. Have any drivetrain mods planned? Originally came with the 4.8 or 5.3?

Thanks. For now no, I need to keep it simple and quiet for the baby. But I do have plans once another vehicle is bought for a daily. It’s a stock 5.3 2WD for now. Once I do tho, 4L80 swap, ProCharger along with all the other supporting engine goodies.
