Well talking to my wife tonight she told me to just put the money i would spend on headers and blower and put it into a engine build for my v.... So next mod is going to be taylor wires and tr6 plus and a tune.
BUTTT since i do use the truck for towing and I have these big wheels im going to be going from the 3.42 gear to a 4.10 gear. Should help my truck a lot and honeslty we dont do much freeway driving.
I have 305 35 24 right now with 3.42 gears at 70 mph im doing 1650 rpms
if i go up to a 4.10 at 70 mph ill be doing about 350 rpms more which isnt much
but heres where the kicker comes down low and im moving shift points to 6200 (which below shows) You can see stock 3.42 leave a lot on table
1st gear 3.42 gears goes to 43 mph
2nd gear 3.42 gears goes to 74 mph
3rd gear 3.42 gears goes to 114 mph
4th gear 3.42 gears goes to 151 mph
now going with 4.10s
1st gear 3.42 gears goes to 36 mph
2nd gear 3.42 gears goes to 61 mph
3rd gear 3.42 gears goes to 95 mph
4th gear 3.42 gears goes to 126 mph
yes my escalade has a 6 speed but i just dont like the gearing at all. im used to 4.10s from my tbss and since im not doing a blower but doing gears and a few other mods.
dealer is putting in 3.73s for me since current gear set has a whine in it if i dont like 3.73 ill go 4.11 yukon gears. since 3.73 is free no brainer to do it.
well phase 2 is starting. 3.73 gears dealer ordered and tr6 plugs and taylor wires ordered. Getting the truck tuned the 11th to get a baseline on it and planning the 24th of october to get timeslip.
Then going to do the whipple with a few other mods and hit up track after again.
