Hated my 4.10.

Wish my dealer would just swap gears because I heard a whine. :(

wondering why you hated the 4.10s. Looking at all the truck forums people have been loving them.

he just called me I can put 410s from tbss in...... I think I'll just keep 373. 410 with blower will be way to much gear

Just feels like it went through the RPMs fast. High rpm. Just not what I was used to. I wished I had 3.73. The new truck we jut bought has the 6.2l with 3.73. So well see how that goes.

well talked to LT1z (my buddy matt) and here is our plan on the final portion of modifying the truck

1) Truck has volant intake on it now so thats covered
2) Have a 3.5 inch in/out magnaflow with turned down and resonator cut off.
3) NGK TR6 plugs going in this weekend
4) Taylor wires
5) get the gears changed to 373s.
6) dyno and tune on the 11th.
7) October 24 going to see what it runs

Once we get it back ill do whipple and im doing a custom canton tank set up like I did on my tvs2300 on my old tbss
you can see that here 4:16 into the video

Excuse my novicness but what exactly do the plugs and wires do and how much did it run you?
And the ported throttle body what does it do?

As long as you are using the proper octane, there is no problem running the stock plugs and wires on L9x engines.

weird even on stock trucks we saw less kr on the tr6 out our 91 messed up gas. oh well im trying to do all this in stages. most people here have higher mileage and the tr6 plugs are only like 18 bucks so great plug to go with.

but anyway ill be talking to you the 25th for the blower

They are good plugs, but most folks won't see a difference. I ran he TR55s on my Tahoe but only once I went FI. Plugs and wires for NA are a nice to have but not a necessity, especially if you are running good quality/octane fuel.

Keep in mind, more timing does not necessarily mean more power (which is against popular belief).
