I think its good that you keep bumping this as I just seen this for the first time today. As someone that had to replace both, was happy to see this but the price difference is significant and I can understand why. Most people replacing this would need a quick disconnect adapter to remove. Maybe if these came with that so people could save on buying a whole kit...just thinking of ways to combo and save.

I wonder if they could make a transmission pan that was easier to remove/maneuver. I'm sure that would be a hit. I bet if these quick connect installs were harder, it would be a bigger hit.

Email them and suggest it. That's what it is going to take to get this to market.

I replaced mine with Dorman units which seemed to be somewhat sturdier than the oem....I swapped them at 98,000, even though nothing was wrong with them....

I replaced mine with Dorman and they failed again after a year or two... I'm on my 3rd set and have only had the truck for 4 years.

yikes! these posts are worrying me. during my alternator fiasco, 3 of them! i noticed when i was removing the top cowl engine cover i was tweaking the heater hose connections on that T valve. im sure murphys law is about to kick my A** for that lack of patience/knowledge.

I’m unsure on why they need to be billet when he has coolant T’s that are bent and welded stainless for around $55 each. At the price I’d buy them.

I don’t mind the idea of using a piece of hose with hose clamps onto the stock hard lines. Maybe he could make the hose and clamps optional as well to bring the price down a few bucks?

Again, I don't know either... I am kinda bummed out because I thought these would be a big hit on here. If he doesn't get 5-10 emails then I guess he isn't willing to build them to even be tested.

I emailed him asking about that option. The hose from the engine would have to be replaced or modified to use a hose clamp unless he can replicate the quick disconnect male end.

The aftermarket heater hose from the engine just clamp on any way. That is the way mine is currently.

Hi Ken,

Attached is a CAD screen shot of the GruvenParts billet heater core tee. Note that the smaller ½” hard line connector had to move away from center line of the tee by about 1” to do this. This was necessary to account for the weld bead so we could make sure to have enough tube to clamp the hose on. The larger ¾” hard line connection is at the factory location so that line would not need to move much if any.

This tee will be CNC machined from 6061-T651 aircraft grade aluminum bar and TIG welded by our licensed A&P mechanics in our Atlanta machining center. We will then pressure check each fitting to ensure the integrity of the welds. Each tee will include the short pieces of automotive grade heater hose in ½” and ¾” inner diameter as well as 4 high quality stainless steel worm screw clamps per SAE J1508 so the customer will have all required to install.

Pricing - $59.99 ea

We need 10 pre-orders so just have people email me directly if they want them, it won’t take long to make this (1-2 weeks once we gather interest).

Things I need from you :
  1. Can you verify the ½” hard line could move away from tee center by 1” without binding, kinking or hitting the cowl structure ?
  1. What is the OEM part number and what all years/makes/models do these tees go into ? We can research other forums and see if we can gain additional interest to get this moving.

So the price has come down a little and the T-connectors will come with hoses and clamps needed.

I told Gruven that I would prefer silicone hose and sleeved clamps and here is their response...

Yeah sounds good. HPS makes a bunch of nice silicone hose and proper clamps, we will use that stuff.

He also asked if we preferred Red, Blue, or Black silicone hose and I said that perhaps he should offer that as an option when ordering OR just to use Black since it is neutral.

I don't know... I am glad also and hope that this will entice more people to step up and email them expressing interest.

Also if any of you guys are on any of the other forums for these GMT800 and GMT900 trucks please feel free to post a link to this post to get the word out so we can get these into production.

Whats the status on these? I may be in for 2 of them so I can switch to AN blue hose... I could make them so $120 is a bit pricey but I would consider it...
