$70 each of for a set? I'm a little confused on how the "little piece of hose" thing is gonna work.

I guess it's $70 each but I will ask for clarification.

It would just be a piece of hose, maybe 3"-4" in length, slipped onto the heater core nipples and clamped and then slip the new T connector into the other end of the hose and clamped. Same for the lines going to the rear heater core.

It would obviously be a bigger pain to install because of the location being tucked up under the cowl on the firewall. BUT on the bright side it should be a permanent one time fix, never to be fooled with again. Unless the rubber hose deteriorated and needed replacing.

It might be worth going with silicone hose for the short pieces to avoid rubber deterioration.

So to clarify they would be $70 each.

Trying to stay optimistic but not seeing as much interest as I expected. He has only had 1 email so far.

I’ll assume that was me then. At $70 each I don’t see this going much further. At $70 a pair I was in.

I'm in a similar camp. I like upgraded parts, no doubt, and I liked this idea a lot, but I think I would need to be under $100 for the pair.

Same here

I understand completely. Unfortunately I have no control over any of it. I just brought forth the idea to them and this is what they came up with.

I really thought there would be more interest because so many people have issues with them, but I also thought they would be more reasonably priced.

Of course I guess those things kinda work hand in hand. One off parts are expensive. 10 off parts aren't that much cheaper... lol 100 off might be but this idea may never get there.

I think its good that you keep bumping this as I just seen this for the first time today. As someone that had to replace both, was happy to see this but the price difference is significant and I can understand why. Most people replacing this would need a quick disconnect adapter to remove. Maybe if these came with that so people could save on buying a whole kit...just thinking of ways to combo and save.

I wonder if they could make a transmission pan that was easier to remove/maneuver. I'm sure that would be a hit. I bet if these quick connect installs were harder, it would be a bigger hit.

I replaced mine with Dorman units which seemed to be somewhat sturdier than the oem....I swapped them at 98,000, even though nothing was wrong with them....
