I don’t understand how GM blames suppliers. If you watch any tonawanda GM plant YouTube videos, they show them polish the cranks amongst other things. They have automated machines to do this. Blaming suppliers is a weak take given they are responsible for working the crank to completion. Maybe it’s poor metallurgy under the visible surface. IDK.

Everyone keeps talking about finding the engine build date on the head. I see others mention a sticker by the headlight. I have stickers by both headlights, which one should I go with driver or passenger? The two stickers have different dates.

Is it possible to host a page on this forum to pin the key links related to the recall ? I know some forums have a webpage capability to do that kind of stuff... the other option is to create another moderator only thread where said links can be posted

Yes, looked at that pic and understood where to look on the head which is difficult on a Z71 with skid plates.

Which is why I’m inquiring to find out about the stickers by the headlights.

Thanks anyway.

Here’s a question for some that might want to get away from all these issues and will pay out of pocket. Where can you go get a well built from the bottom up small block that would be a bolt in replacement for the 6.2? Like a 6.6 with non afm/dfm internals. A reliable kick ass 450 HP 500 TQ? I’d also go for a kit to swap over to the 6.6 Duramax in the SUV’s the 2500’s can share with us!
