Hai guys,

Im new here. I bought a 2010 tahoe LTZ and it has a couple of issues. I live in U.A.E. and the mechanics here are not very good.

My issues are.

Pump stopping at the gas station as air gushes out of the fuel filler.
Service airbag on the display with light on top of the rear view mirror.

I wanted to fix the issues myself if possible.

Your filling issue is likely something wrong with the EVAP system. Usually the purge valve is stuck open or the vent valve is stuck closed.

The airbag will need the codes read.

You need a real scan tool to read codes from the airbag. A hand held code scanner usually can only read codes from the ECM.

You also need to check the evap lines for carbon pellets.

First off- welcome to TYF!

Secondly- You posted this in the 1991-1999 forum. Posting in the correct forum may get you more help. Since he loves moving threads, let's see if @NathanJax will help

And, now for your problems- Either your EVAP system is clogged up (bug mess) or it could be as simple as the vent hose is clogged. I just performed this repair on mine a week ago. ALL of the EVAP system hoses were clogged from the carbon/charcoal pellets in the EVAP canister being leaked into the system. I replaced the canister and vent valve and used compressed air to clear all the hoses from the purge valve solenoid on the intake manifold to the fuel tank, and all the hoses on the tank itself.

Here's where I posted a little about it in my build thread: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/growing-up-doesnt-have-to-suck.93510/page-87#post-1509160

Sorry my bad.
Thanks for your help. Its difficult to find good help here. As most garages are run by people who just know how to change engine oil and fill AC gas.

You’ll need a Tech 2 then if those won’t read it.
