Being a two wheel drive without the CV axle it was actually super easy. Once I got the 3 bolts put the hub essentially just fell out lol MUCH easier than it ever was on my 07

Any issues braking the hub out of the knuckle? I had a **** of a time doing my last one.

I think the bigger difference is this vehicle has not been soaked in the wonderful elixir of salt and snow that exists in the north.

That’s true too. Definitely a very low amount of corrosion to contend with at this point. But the lack of axle shaft sticking through the hole (giggity) also makes a difference. Sometimes that shaft holds on for dear life! Lol

Interesting. Guess, I’ve never had an issue with the axle shaft hanging on.

Years ago now I bought a defective hub. The thing literally lasted 2 weeks if that and was the last time I bought a cheap hub assembly. When I went to replace that 2 week old hub I had to beat that thing out as if it had been in there for 5 years cuz that cv axle wouldn’t let go it was an awesome time had by all.

That would suck. My guess is the cheap hub didn’t have hardened splines and it gauled up on your shaft.

Possibility. It’s been long enough I don’t remember all the intricate details. Just enough to be the old guy with stories to tell from his porch and straw hanging out his mouth

New key fob case cuz the one I carry all the time was literally breaking into pieces cuz old plastic is old

For me the Esky fobs just seems to hold up better.

The original fobs always crack and break around the seam/joint where they snap together.

The Esky fobs also seem to give me better range than the originals.

This is just my experience, YMMV.

to be honest, the only reason i care about having a fob that works is because it allows me to get into the car while it's raining without fumbling for my keys. In the end, if the keyless entry system just went into the toilet I wouldn't care about that either.

I do mods based on what I get enjoyment out of. I care very little about what my fob looks like (other than i don't want the plastic case crumbling in my hand) and don't care that it says Cadillac on it or that it's a 15+ because it's "sleeker" or so that someone thinks I'm driving something newer. In my world, modifying or upgrading my key fob is a waste of my time and my money and brings 0 excitement for me.

Sway bars finally arriving this week so those will be going on this week. Spohn panhard bar is close behind, as well. Next up, will be going a little bit lower. Probably 2/3.

Do you order a panhard bar yet? I think I still have a spohn adjustable with poly bushings
